The Royal Household has published more details of the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, which will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday 19 September at 11am.
A Committal Service at St George’s Chapel, Windsor, will take place at 4pm on the same day.
On the morning of the State Funeral, the Lying-in-State will end at 6:30am as the final members of the public are admitted.
At 10:44am the coffin will be borne in Procession on the State Gun Carriage of the Royal Navy from the Palace of Westminster to Westminster Abbey for the State Funeral.
Towards the end of the service, at approximately 11.55am, the Last Post will sound, followed by a two-minutes’ silence to be observed in the abbey, and throughout the United Kingdom. The National Anthem will bring the State Funeral Service to a close at approximately midday.
After the service, Her Majesty’s coffin will be borne through the Abbey, returning to the State Gun Carriage for the procession to Wellington Arch, Hyde Park Corner, arriving at 1pm.
The coffin will then be transferred to the State Hearse to travel to Windsor. The Committal Service will begin in Windsor at 4pm and The National Anthem will be sung to mark the end of the service.
