The Lexicon has scooped another retail placemaking award for the Brighter Days campaign which was run during lockdown.
Winning a Reflect Award in the Revo Celebration of Place Awards, the campaign fought off some tough competition.
There Will Be Brighter Days campaign was run digitally during the lockdown of 2021. Handprint templates were coloured in by children in the borough and sent to The Lexicon over the 8-week campaign. They were then added to the tree in the Princess Square so people could view the handprints once retail opened its doors once more.
Congratulations to everyone involved in the campaign, including our partners at The Lexicon and all our schoolchildren who took part.
Cllr Marc Brunel-Walker, Executive Member for Economic Development and Regeneration said:
“This campaign was so successful, and it was wonderful to see the finished tree in the town centre.
“Winning another award is further proof that Bracknell Forest can compete against larger shopping destinations because the town centre is the heart of the borough. With further campaigns planned for October half term and beyond, I can’t wait to see what we can achieve.”
