Travelling around the borough just got easier with the launch of the new My Journey Bracknell Forest website.
My Journey has been adopted by numerous local authorities to help residents and employees travel more actively and sustainably around the borough. The new site hosts information on walking, cycling, buses, trains, electric vehicles and community transport across the borough, as well as helpful journey planner tools.
Not only does this encourage people to take up a more active lifestyle, but it also encourages a sense of responsibility around how we can travel in a more sustainable way, both financially and environmentally.
Cllr Chris Turrell, executive member for planning and transport, said:
“This website is a fantastic resource for anyone who needs to travel in and around the borough.
“From an interactive cycle map, real time bus information and how to drive to save fuel, it’s all there on the website.”
The site has been set up with funding from a grant from the Department of Transport and aligns with the council’s climate change strategy, with the aim to become carbon neutral by 2050.
The My Journey logo will start to be used on all the council’s active travel work and the website will feature news, events and a regular newsletter that residents can sign up to for updates.
