Festive thanks to our staff and volunteers

As we approach the festive period, we would like to recognise and thank the staff and volunteers who work over Christmas and New Year.

Katie Stephens, one of our talented communications and marketing officers, has written a beautiful poem to highlight just a few of the key roles and services that support our residents through the festive period and the winter.

Cllr Paul Bettison OBE, Leader of Bracknell Forest Council, said:

“The council is made up of people who work hard on behalf of our residents all year round. However, during the Christmas period, many of our staff and contractors sacrifice the usual festivities to make sure that those who need our support are well looked after. They are supported by a small army of local volunteers who also give up their time to make sure people are taken care of.

“I’d like to thank everyone who is giving up their time over the festive period to make sure those who need help receive it and that vital services continue to run. A heartfelt thank you to our staff, volunteers, contractors and other public sector workers who all make sure Bracknell Forest is a safe and secure place to live, work and visit – whatever the day.

“Additionally, I’d like to wish everyone in the borough a very merry Christmas and a happy new year!”
