Travelling around the borough is easier with One.Network, the council’s live roadworks map that allows residents to plan ahead by searching a postcode to view the current and planned roadworks in that area.
One.Network is free to use, can be accessed online and does not require a log in.
Users can find out the reason for local planned roadworks, how long they will last and what measures are in place to control traffic, for example traffic lights or road closures. Unplanned, emergency and urgent work will be on the map as soon as possible after works have commenced.
Cllr Chris Turrell, Executive Member for Planning and Transport, said:
“One.Network is an easy-to-use tool that you can use before you travel to make sure you have a smoother journey around Berkshire.
“The map can be accessed using your mobile phone, so you have live information on current and future roadworks, as well as directions for diversion routes at your fingertips. We would encourage residents to check it regularly to avoid disruptions to their journeys.”
