Expressions of interest are currently being sought for the operational management of the new Buckler’s Park Community Hub in Crowthorne.
Set against a backdrop of Buckler’s Forest SANG (suitable alternative natural greenspace), the multi-use hub boasts a number of excellent facilities, including café, large sports hall, meeting rooms and tennis courts.
The council is currently looking for a not-for-profit organisation to bring this hub to life and to be the heart of the community, bringing a number of activities and services to local people, with an aspiration for the hub to be fully operational later in 2023.
Cllr John Harrison, executive member for culture, delivery and public protection, said:
“This brand-new hub is one of a number of hubs we are developing across Bracknell Forest, working with the local community.
“Our vision is for this hub to bring people of all ages together, whether to enjoy a cup of tea and a chat to reduce feelings of social isolation, or to get active using the sports facilities, to help with mental health and wellbeing.
“We’re looking for the right operator who can bring this vision to fruition and be the new heart of the local community.”
