Climate Emergency UK are set to rank UK councils on their climate change action, including Bracknell Forest Council.
Local authorities will be scored against 89 questions across seven different areas:
- buildings and heating
- transport
- planning and land use
- governance and finance
- collaboration and engagement
- biodiversity
- waste and food reduction
We have collected our answers and published them on our climate action scorecard page. The UK rankings will be released in autumn this year.
Cllr Mrs Dorothy Hayes MBE, executive member for environment, said:
“The council has been working hard on its climate change action plan, which aims to make Bracknell Forest Council carbon neutral by 2050.
“Being marked against other local authorities will give us a good benchmark on how we are performing nationally, it will also give us the opportunity to learn from others and take inspiration for future projects.”
