Bracknell Forest Community Day

Residents are being invited to come together and celebrate the diverse range of cultures and communities from across the borough at the Bracknell Forest Community Day.

The celebration is being held on Saturday 8 July in Bond Square from midday to 4:30pm.

The day will showcase a range of entertainment, food and drink that represent the different cultures across Bracknell Forest.

The line up of acts performing and speakers on the day is:

  • Midday: Speech by the Mayor of Bracknell Forest, Cllr Naheed Ejaz 
  • 12:05pm: Nepalese dance act
  • 12:25pm: Talk from the Bracknell Islamic Community about the history of Islam
  • 12:40pm: Matthew Allman sings reggae music
  • 1:40pm: Victorious Assembly perform some uplifting gospel music
  • 2:25pm: Ekta Taunk brings Bollywood dance to Bracknell Forest
  • 3pm: Bengal Phoenix will be performing Indian folk dance on the main stage 
  • 3:25pm: Cantopop act 852X perform some of their songs
  • 4:10pm: Local artist Henjila will close the evening.

In between acts there will be music provide by DJ Damo of Thames Valley Vibes.

There will also be a wide range of stalls offering a chance to find out more about the borough’s local communities and organisations.

Cllr Helen Purnell, Executive Member for Environment and Community Cohesion, said:

“I’m delighted that we can come together and celebrate the wonderful people we have in Bracknell Forest.

"We are a diverse borough, greatly and richly shaped by the different cultures and traditions found in our communities. The Bracknell Forest Community Day will be a chance to celebrate and embrace diversity, share experiences, be entertained with some fabulous acts and enjoy some traditional foods.”
