Don’t forget to have your say on the new local plan for Bracknell Forest

The consultation on the proposed new local plan for the borough is open until Monday, 26 March 2018.

The draft local plan sets out a new planning framework including planning policies to be used in assessing planning applications and proposed sites for development up to 2034. This includes the need to find sites for 3,216 new homes.

re3, the waste management partnership for Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham Borough councils is pleased to announce a significant enhancement to the recycling collection service for its residents.

Household plastic pots, tubs, trays, clean foil, foil trays and food or drink cartons are now accepted as part of the kerbside recycling collections.

Local community groups and voluntary organisations have come together in partnership with the council to create Bracknell Forest Help Yourself, an innovative community website that everyone can use to help them stay fit, healthy and connected to their community.

Transferring your details to Everyone Active

Ahead of the leisure partnership with Everyone Active which will begin on 1 March, Bracknell Forest Council will need to provide Everyone Active with access to our membership database in order to ensure the centres continue to run smoothly and all current memberships continue.

An atmospheric photo of Swinley Forest has achieved the top spot in this year’s Bracknell Forest Parks Photographic Competition.

The photo was taken by Ian Harvey-Brown who lives in Harmans Water and features a cyclist riding through Swinley Forest in the early morning.

Christmas opening times – 22 December 2017 to 2 January 2018

Over Christmas and New Year we will be running amended opening hours for our phone lines and our Time Square office on Market Street. 

We will be closed on Christmas day, Boxing day and New Year's day.  View our timetable for opening hours on other days.
