From Monday anyone wanting to take part in the first Bracknell Half Marathon to start and finish at The Lexicon can sign up for a place.
The annual 13.1 mile event, which is entering its 34th year in May, will start and finish at Bracknell's new town centre.
The marathon will be held on Sunday 13 May with space for up to 1,000 runners to pound the streets of Bracknell Forest and take in the sights of the new town centre.
Next year's event will also be sponsored by The Lexicon as part of its 3-year commitment to the borough's biggest sporting event.
The entry fee is just £24 each and can be booked online from Monday, 6 November on the half marathon webpage.
Cllr Iain McCracken, executive member for culture, corporate services and public protection, said:
The average training time for a half marathon is around 15 weeks, so if you fancy signing up for 2018 there's plenty of time to get some long runs in.
We're delighted that The Lexicon is sponsoring the half marathon again this year and that our course will start and finish in our new town centre - this adds another dynamic to the popular event and enables participants and spectators to enjoy Bracknell town centre as well as the race.
Sue Boor, head of marketing at The Lexicon, said:
We are really excited to be part of the Bracknell Half Marathon 2018 – and to see the first event start and finish at The Lexicon! With the route taking in plenty of the new town centre, it’s a great way for both runners and spectators to experience the buzz of the town. The half marathon generates such great community spirit and is sure to be a big talking point over the coming months.
