Welcoming Active Hospitality to the borough

Easthampstead Park Conference Centre

We’d like to officially welcome Active Hospitality to the borough, as they become the proud new owners and operators of Easthampstead Park Conference Centre.

Cllr Iain McCracken, executive member for culture, resources and public protection, said:

“Easthampstead Park Conference Centre has long been a jewel in our cultural crown and one we have worked hard to safeguard and preserve for our community.

“Our priority throughout this process has always been to focus on the best possible future for our grade II listed building and its surrounding ancient woodlands, ensuring it reaches its full potential and becomes a venue that the local community and visitors can enjoy for many years to come.

“This is a momentous day for us as we see that hard work and determination finally come to fruition. The refurbishment planned will be first class and I, for one, am excited to see EPCC’s transformation as work gets underway next year.

“I’d like to personally thank the many council officers and advisors who have worked so hard to make this day happen and have never given up in finding the best solution for EPCC and the local community.

“I’d also like to extend a hand of friendship to Active Hospitality as we welcome them to the borough. They are a highly professional organisation with a great track record in successfully managing and refurbishing venues. The plans they have already in place for EPCC will bring a much improved and more accessible venue for the public to enjoy.

“Although this may feel like the end of an era for us, it is a new beginning for EPCC and the borough and I wish Active Hospitality every success for the future.”
