Community learning general information
We have a wide range of courses on offer, from computer skills, arts, crafts cookery and more. See our courses pages for details.
The council receives funding from the Education Skills Funding Agency to provide community learning courses.
To be eligible to attend a course you need to be aged 19 years (as at 31 August 2017) or over and have been resident in the European Union for 3 years or more.
Course fees may be paid online, by credit or debit card over the phone or by cash at Bracknell Open Learning Centre.
Fees must be paid in advance in order to confirm a course booking.
Please note that fees are not refundable unless we cancel a course.
Free courses for job seekers
If you are claiming Job Seekers Allowance (JSA) you may be able to attend some courses for free.
Claimants of other benefits, for example Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), may be entitled to subsidies for courses leading to skills-related qualifications.
Please call into the Thursday Job Club held at the Open Learning Centre between 10am and 4pm to discuss what is available for you.
