Pension scheme surgeries

This benefit is for eligible employees of Bracknell Forest Council.

We would urge all employees to make sure they are making good provision for their retirement.

However, we know that pensions are often a topic which can cause confusion or misunderstanding. The council works with the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund to arrange regular pension surgeries. The surgeries give employees the chance to speak to a pension scheme representative to discuss any personal queries on the Local Government Pension Scheme.

As well as helping with general queries, the representatives will be able to provide information on:

  • ways of making additional contributions
  • retirement forecasts at different dates
  • explaining changes to the scheme

The surgeries are also open for all those not in the scheme who want to know about the benefits of joining.

Employees will be contacted when the surgeries take place so they can book a slot.

These surgeries are for the Local Government Pension Scheme and do not apply to the teachers pension scheme.
