Creating a dementia friendly community

The council is working towards a dementia friendly community.

This involves creating a greater awareness of dementia in local communities. This is to help those with dementia to feel supported, valued and able to contribute to the community.

If you would like to help Bracknell Forest become more dementia friendly, you can sign up to become a dementia friend or champion.

You can also access free online dementia training.

Dementia Friends information sessions

Public Dementia Friends information sessions are held regularly in Bracknell Forest. At these sessions people gain a greater understanding of what it is like to live with dementia and pledge a small action to help people with dementia to feel part of their local community.

Anyone is welcome to attend and sessions are free.
