Bracknell Leisure Centre to benefit from a £2.8 million investment

Sports and activity in Bracknell Forest is set to receive a multi-million pound boost thanks to the partnership between Bracknell Forest Council and its new leisure management operator, Everyone Active.

A £2.8 million refurbishment of Bracknell Leisure Centre was approved by the council, who will be working alongside Everyone Active to finance and deliver the project.

The redecorated and refurnished Haversham Room is set within the magnificent 18th century grade II listed building and benefits from fabulous views over the grounds.

The borough’s vulnerable families will benefit from greater support from the council following the launch of a revolutionary new way of working to help families become stronger and better able to support their children.

Don’t forget to have your say on the new local plan for Bracknell Forest

The consultation on the proposed new local plan for the borough is open until Monday, 26 March 2018.

The draft local plan sets out a new planning framework including planning policies to be used in assessing planning applications and proposed sites for development up to 2034. This includes the need to find sites for 3,216 new homes.

re3, the waste management partnership for Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham Borough councils is pleased to announce a significant enhancement to the recycling collection service for its residents.

Household plastic pots, tubs, trays, clean foil, foil trays and food or drink cartons are now accepted as part of the kerbside recycling collections.
