Rooting for Bracknell Forest trees

Bracknell Forest is the third most forested area in the country and we are consulting on a new strategy that aims to preserve this special forest heritage.

The Bracknell Forest Tree Strategy describes how we will approach the management of trees, hedgerows, orchards and woodland in the borough over the next few years.

South East Water is due to carry out some maintenance on the Bracknell water network from today (Monday 20 November). The work is due to last around a week.

The reason for carrying out this routine work is to help maintain the quality of the drinking water supply.

Relaunch of Bracknell Market

Bracknell Market has relaunched to provide shoppers with a selection of fresh produce and street food stalls.

The market is located outside Princess Square every Friday and Saturday and features a selection of stalls including: fresh fruit and veg, meat and fish, delicatessen, bakery and flowers. There will also be a small selection of street food stalls offering quick-eats, such as Thai and Japanese dishes.

Coral Reef Waterworld opening date confirmed

The wait is finally over - Coral Reef Waterworld will re-open to the public on Friday 29 September at 10:30am.

Pirate Pete has been on dry land for more than 18 months but will set sail again on the ‘Coralina’ pirate ship to welcome visitors back to the iconic attraction and to cut the ribbon for the official re-opening.

Yesterday, 7 September 2017, marked a historic event in Bracknell’s history as The Lexicon opened for business for the very first time.

More than 150 local children, from primary and junior schools across the borough counted down to the historic event, which was marked with a fanfare of green, gold and silver streamers and leaf shaped confetti, cascading across the new town centre’s walkways and squares
