About wildlife in Bracknell Forest
Bracknell Forest has a rich and varied landscape, containing a wide range of habitats that supports a diversity of plants and animals.
Over 20% of the total area is protected by local designations, including Local Nature Reserves and Local Wildlife Sites.
There are also highly important European designated sites including 9 Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs), a Special Protected Area (SPA) and a Special Area of Conservation (SAC).
