Speed limits order 2021

The council is proposing to make an order under Sections 84(1)(a) and 84(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

The order will:

  • remove the restrictions on the sections of roads specified in schedule 1
  • introduce a speed limit of 50 mph on the lengths of road specified in schedule 2
  • introduce a speed limit of 40 mph on the lengths of road specified in schedule 3
  • introduce a speed limit of 30 mph on the lengths of road specified in schedule 4

Schedule 1

Removal of 50 mph speed limit from Bracknell Forest Borough Council (A3095 Mill Lane and various roads, Bracknell) (50 MPH Speed Limit) Order 2018.

From a point 20 metres south-west of its roundabout junction with the A322 Downshire Way and the A329 Berkshire Way (commonly known as ‘Twin Bridges’ roundabout) to, and including, its roundabout junction with the A3095 Crowthorne Road / South Hill Road / Hanworth Road / Great Hollands Road (Commonly known as ‘Hanworth’ roundabout).

South Hill Road

From its roundabout junction with A3095 Mill Lane / Hanworth Road / A3095 Crowthorne Road and Great Hollands Road (Commonly known as ‘Hanworth’ roundabout) eastwards for a distance of 20 metres.

Hanworth Road

From its roundabout junction with A3095 Mill Lane / South Hill Road / A3095 Crowthorne Road and Great Hollands Road (Commonly known as ‘Hanworth’ roundabout) southwards for a distance of 20 metres.

A3095 Crowthorne Road

From its roundabout junction with A3095 Mill Lane / Hanworth Road / South Hill Road and Great Hollands Road (Commonly known as ‘Hanworth’ roundabout) south-westwards for a distance of 105 metres.

Great Hollands Road

From its roundabout junction with A3095 Mill Lane / Hanworth Road / South Hill Road and A3095 Crowthorne Road (Commonly known as ‘Hanworth’ roundabout) westwards for a distance of 20 metres.

From the roundabout junction of B3430 Nine Mile Ride/ A3095 Crowthorne Road / A3095 Foresters Way (Commonly known as ‘Hutt’ roundabout) to a point 225 metres west of said junction.

B3438 Nine Mile Ride

From the roundabout junction of B3430 Nine Mile Ride/ A3095 Crowthorne Road / A3095 Foresters Way (commonly known as ‘Hutt’ roundabout) to a point 120 metres east of said junction.

From its roundabout junction with A3095 Mill Lane / Hanworth Road / South Hill Road and A3095 Crowthorne Road (commonly known as ‘Hanworth’ roundabout) westwards for a distance of 20 metres.

South Hill Road

From its roundabout junction with A3095 Mill Lane / Hanworth Road / A3095 Crowthorne Road and Great Hollands Road (commonly known as ‘Hanworth’ roundabout) eastwards for a distance of 110 metres.

Hanworth Road

From its roundabout junction with A3095 Mill Lane / South Hill Road / A3095 Crowthorne Road and Great Hollands Road (commonly known as ‘Hanworth’ roundabout) southwards for a distance of 20 metres.

All distances are approximate and, where applicable, are taken from the centre of the stated junctions.
