Then the governing body of Hatch Ride Primary School would love to hear from you.

Hatch Ride School was rated as ‘Good’ in 2017.
We have 2 vacancies for co-opted governors
It is important that our governing body is diverse and provides a connectedness between the school and its community.
We are keen to hear from self-motivated and determined people who are interested in becoming a governor. Ideally you will have experience in human resources or an education background.
Co-opted governors are elected by the governing body based on their skills. However, we are also looking for:
- a willingness to learn
- the confidence to challenge and actively contribute during discussions
- an ability to work closely and collaboratively with others
You will need to attend 7 local governors meetings and 3 committee meetings a year. These are all in the early evenings and are currently held virtually.
You will be provided with training. This is delivered by Bracknell Forest Council or through the National Association of Governors. This includes e-learning for other sectors and types of work. This training makes school governance one of the best forms of personal and professional development.
