Paid care worker jobs

Paid care workers support people living in the local community to live their lives the way that they want to. Working with people in their own homes as well as residential care settings, paid care workers make a real difference to people’s lives.

As a paid care worker you would support people to help them build on their existing skills and enable them to achieve their goals. You would work with older people, people with disabilities or people with mental health conditions.

What is it like to be a paid care worker?

A good care worker has a friendly and caring approach and the ability to relate to people from a variety of backgrounds. Patience and a good sense of humour can go a long way to making a person feel cared for. On the job training can be provided so no previous experience is necessary.
