The primary schools’ climate conference was held on Friday 12 July at Garth Hill College.
The conference was organised by Sustainability and Environmental Education (SEEd) and was facilitated in collaboration with The Harmony Project.
Around 40 pupils from across 14 schools were in attendance:
Students had the opportunity to take part in a number of activities to help them consider key sustainability topics including energy, food and biodiversity.
They analysed graphs of energy use at a primary school, scored packed lunches on how healthy they are for us and for the planet and they studied the geometry of nature.
They also had the chance to write an action plan to take back to their respective schools.
Below are some examples of the action plans that the primary schools created.
