Housing advice for migrants settling in Bracknell Forest

Housing team

If you need housing support you can be referred to the housing team.

A member of the housing team will meet with you to assess your needs and establish your options. Assessments are performed on a case-by-case basis and are specific to the individual.

If at risk of homelessness

If there is at risk of homelessness within 56 days, the housing team will allocate a case worker.

Your case worker will help you understand any support you could get to avoid homelessness.

If not at risk of homelessness

When appropriate, information and signposting is provided to different routes for housing. This is so that you can help yourself and find your own suitable accommodation.

We have a ‘move-on officer’ who is available to provide support, including:

  • signposting towards suitable websites
  • signposting to various housing options
  • offering one on one advice

In certain cases, financial support is available for those who can self-help and find their own accommodation. Financial support is subject to availability and assessed on a case by case basis.
