The Willows - September and October

The Willows have moved to Little Acorns for September and October while they are being refurbished. You can find them at: Little Acorns Montessori, Berkshire Guide Centre, Windlesham Road, Bracknell, RG42 1GG.

Bookings

To book any courses please call the Children’s Centre or email us at early.help@bracknell-forest.gov.uk

Health Visitor Service

If you need to speak to a Health Visitor please call the Duty Line on 0300 365 6000 selecting option 2. Lines are open from 9am to 1pm, Monday to Friday.

To change, confirm or book appointments with the health team please call 0300 365 6000 selecting option 1. Lines are open from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday.

Regular sessions

Citizens Advice Bureau appointments

One to one appointments are available to book to see a Citizens Advice Bureau advisor. Times of these are either 9:30am, 10:15am or 11am.

This service is free but run by appointment only. Please call any Children’s Centre to book.

Paediatric First Aid

Come along to one of our Paediatric First Aid courses where you will learn some practical first aid skills.

There is a charge of £3 per person (for those families living in the Bracknell Forest area, £6 per person for those who live outside of Bracknell Forest).

Booking and payment required in advance to secure a place. Please note due to the nature of this course children are not permitted to attend.

The courses run from 6pm to 8pm.

Mondays

Baby weighing clinic

A drop in session provided by the NHS Health Visiting Team. You can weigh your baby while staff and a Health Visitor are on hand to offer support and advice.

Where: Alders Children's Centre

When: 9:30am to 11:30am

Age group: Under 5 years

Family play together

Drop in play sessions for parents or carers and their children aged under 5 years.

An opportunity to meet other parents or carers whilst playing with your children and supporting their development while learning through play.

Where: Willows Children’s Centre

When: 1pm to 2:30pm

Tuesdays

Family play together

Speech and language drop in (SALT)

If you have concerns about your child’s speech and language development please drop into the centre where they can be assessed by a speech and language therapist. Places are on a first come first served basis.

Thursdays

Speech and language drop in (SALT)

PANDA Support Group

A drop in support group for the families affected by postnatal or antenatal depression and other perinatal mental health issues.

A fun way to help your child with their confidence and physical skills. A chance for children to climb, jump, slide and explore movement.

Courses and workshops

Understanding your baby

A 6-week course designed for parents and carers with babies up to 4 months of age. This course covers understanding yours and your child’s feelings, brain development and crying, healthy sleep patterns, feeding, play/development and child care options. Please contact any Children’s Centre to book a place
