Youth workers
By guiding young people during a key stage in their lives, our youth workers help them to:
- learn new skills
- explore their interests
- develop a strong sense of identity
- be independent
- develop their confidence in social situations
Youth workers build voluntary, trusting relationships with young people. They do this away from the pressures the young person might face elsewhere. Typically, they work with those aged 11 to 19, but can support young adults up to 25, depending on individual needs.
Our youth workers support young people in Bracknell Forest through targeted youth support and universal youth services.
Universal youth services
Universal Youth Services are open to all young people, regardless of their background or circumstances. These services offer activities, clubs, and opportunities that are accessible to everyone.

Targeted youth support
Targeted Youth Support is aimed at young people who may need extra help because of specific issues in their lives.
Issues might include difficulties at home, struggling with mental health, or being at risk of dropping out of school.
