Overview
At today’s event, you can:
- talk with organisations at our stalls to see what’s happening in your area and find out about local sustainability initiatives
- join keynote speakers to learn more about climate change and help shape the transition to a net-zero future in the borough
- hear from experts and share your thoughts at your chosen workshop
- share a coffee and network with others at one of our refreshment stations

Opening plenary session (Kerith Centre auditorium):
- Professor Ian Candy, Royal Holloway University of London, will talk about the importance of tackling climate change
- Russell Julier, Bracknell Forest Community Climate Action (BFCCA), will introduce the community climate strategy led by the BFCCA, followed by a question and answer session
6:45pm to 7:30pm

Arrival
When you arrive, go straight to reception to register and pick up your badge.
Housekeeping
Fire alarm
There are no planned fire alarm tests during the event.
If the alarm goes off:
- evacuate calmly using the marked exits
- follow directions of staff members and emergency responders to the assembly point
Toilets
There are toilet facilities in both the Kerith Centre and the K2 building.
Refreshments
Please note that only light refreshments of tea and coffee will be provided at the event.
Accessibility
The ground floors of both buildings have level access. There are no lifts to the first floor of the Kerith Centre.
Weather
Some stalls will be outside, so please make sure you check the forecast and prepare appropriately for the weather.
Photography
We will be photographing and filming sessions from the summit. By attending the event, you give your consent to feature in any resulting material. This will be signposted in the venue.
Travel
Where possible, we encourage you to travel to this venue by bus, train, foot or bike. Use the MyJourney tool to plan your travel to the summit.
Bus
If you are travelling by bus to the venue, the nearest bus stations are:
- Bracknell Bus Station (0.3 miles or 7 minute walk)
- The Ring – Parish Church (0.3 miles or 8 minute walk)
These bus stops have regular services from different routes. You can find all the details on the MyJourney tool above.
Train
Bracknell station is the closest station to the venue. There is a 0.3 mile route directly to the summit from the station, taking roughly 10 minutes.
Bike or foot
Next to the K2 building, there are a small number of cycle spaces where you can lock your bike. For full cycling options, visit Cycling in Bracknell Forest.
The Kerith Centre is also well connected for walking. It has several pedestrian crossing points and underpasses under Church Road for safe access.
Car
If you are driving to the event, park in the Braccan Walk car park which is a 10 minute walk from the venue.
Please consider sharing lifts with others where possible. The Mobilityways app can show you some lift sharing options.
Only disabled users can park at the venue.
