You can view meeting minutes and agendas on the JCAB's committee details page.
Task and finish groups
The JCAB sets up task and finish groups to deliver specific projects and focus on shared ambitions. These task and finish groups are open to non-JCAB members to join.
The following task and finish groups are currently in place. If you would be interested in supporting or participating in any of these groups, email us at climate.change@bracknell-forest.gov.uk.
Biodiversity, trees and climate adaptation
Protecting and improving natural habitats and trees can support wildlife, capture carbon and make Bracknell Forest more resilient to a changing climate.
This group aims to progress opportunities to enhance biodiversity, increase tree cover and help local communities adapt to impacts such as heatwaves and flooding.
Bracknell heat network
Bracknell Forest Council is investigating if a heat network could work in Bracknell to help reduce emissions from the way we heat buildings. This group supports stakeholder engagement and informs future project development.
Community energy
Community energy is when local people and organisations work together to produce, save or manage energy for the benefit of the community. The aim of this group is to bring community energy to Bracknell Forest by exploring opportunities, building partnerships and developing projects.
Education, communications and engagement
This group brings together key organisations and volunteers from across the borough. It coordinates communications and develops activities to help people understand climate change and how they can take action.
Business climate engagement
The purpose of this group is to support the development of a Bracknell Forest Business Climate Pledge. Created by Ethical Reading in partnership with the council, the scheme will provide an important starting point for businesses of any size to act on sustainability.
