Refunds

For goods and services purchased using the council's website where the council fails to deliver in line with our standards:

  • a full refund will be made
  • the credit or debit card used for the payment will be refunded
  • this will be done as soon as possible but within 14 days of the refund being agreed by the council

Cancellations

Cancellations will only be refunded at the discretion of the council.

If the cancellation is agreed by the council, the customer must take reasonable care of any goods already supplied until they are collected by the council.

If the council agrees to a refund following a cancellation, then this will be carried out as described above.

Other types of transaction

Where the council agrees that a refund is due for council tax, business rates or another payment not covered under the list above, then the credit or debit card used for the payment will be refunded. This will be done as soon as possible but within 14 days of the refund being agreed by the council.
