Background information
The name derives from 'Bent Grass Field'.
The parish council was set up in the 1890s and has a large rural part as well as a vibrant village centre.
Its strength lies in its community spirit. Residents tend to remain here for many years and are involved in local issues and organisations.
Services provided
Binfield Parish Council provides:

- event and activity promotion – noticeboard, display area in the building as well as social media and website promotion
- grants to local halls
- organisation of many community oriented events - the Binfield 10k, Arts Week, Summer of Fun and the switch on of the Binfield Christmas tree lights

- room hire for meetings
- support to local groups such as the Binfield Environment Group, the Garden club and many others
- tennis courts (run by the Binfield Tennis Association)
