Background information
Bracknell Town Council was formed in 1955 to provide services for those living in the developing ‘new town’.
With its many parks and recreation areas, Bracknell Town is a great place to bring up a family.
The Town Council is pleased to work in partnership with Bracknell Forest Council on many projects, while also striving to be recognised in its own right for its unique contribution in making Bracknell a great place to live.

- full size synthetic pitch, 2 ball courts
- grants to local organisations
- grants to over 65s towards their TV licence
- grass pitches for football and rugby
- halls/function room for hire
- management of the Larges Lane cemetery
- outdoor table tennis
- Pavilion coffee shops and kiosks
- skate parks
- substantial funding for South Hill Park Arts Centre
- 12 Tennis courts
Facilities provided
Bracknell Town Council provides:
- 35 Children's play areas, 2 with splashpads, all with well-maintained equipment
- parks at Jocks Lane, Braybrooke, The Elms, Mill Pond, Birch Hill and Great Hollands
- various bus shelters, seats and bins (in our areas)
