The Health and Wellbeing Board is responsible for identifying and developing an understanding of the needs and priorities of local communities in Bracknell Forest. This is done through the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA).

The JSNA reports on the health and wellbeing needs of people in Bracknell Forest. It brings together data on local health and wellbeing needs. It also looks ahead at emerging challenges and any future needs.
This information then guides the Bracknell Forest Health and Wellbeing Strategy, as well as the future planning and commissioning of health and wellbeing services in Bracknell Forest.
The JSNA is being developed over time. It will include:
- assessments of health needs
- deep dive chapters on priority health and wellbeing topics
- the impact on health of any major developments or changes
- data profiles of different areas or groups within Bracknell Forest
- reviews of evidence, for example the effectiveness of interventions
- mapping assets and resources already available locally
The JSNA will be reviewed and refreshed regularly to take into account the latest evidence and data, including work on specific topics or themes.
