If your children are home schooled, then home educator days are for you.
We organise a number of days a year when home educators are given priority access to the science exhibition.
You will be able to enjoy the hands-on science exhibition and book extra activities such as discovery shows or backpacks on the day.
These shows and activities are suitable for primary school age children.

Nature navigators
Dates: Wednesday 2 October and 13 November
This show is an interactive session exploring the natural word. Students will discover science related to trees, fungi, plants and flowers through exciting, hands-on activities.
This show lasts 40 minutes and costs £2.20 per child.
Fire and light
Dates: Wednesday 13 December and 7 February
This show looks at the sources of light on our planet. It considers the properties of fire and how chemicals can react with each other. What does a candle need to keep burning? Which creatures create their own light? Come and marvel at our tornado of fire!
This show lasts 40 minutes and costs £2.20 per child.
Activity hire details
Our activity hires are self-led experiences. They cost £2.20 per child.
Backpack hire
Date: Wednesday 10 January.
Our nature explorers backpacks are aimed at 4 to 8 year olds and our materials detectives are aimed at 8 to 11 year olds.
Explorer journal hire
Date: Wednesday 4 March
Explorer journals are available in a similar format to the backpack hire.
Topics include, animals, navigation, plants and trees and crafts.
