School visits to The Look Out encourage children to explore, investigate and have fun with science, technology, engineering, art and maths.
We have over 20 years of experience of school visits from Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2 pupils.

We recommend that you allow 4 hours for your visit.
We offer free admission to dedicated carers. There is full wheelchair access throughout the centre with the exception of the 22m tower.
Assistance dogs are welcome. There are hearing loops in seminar room and reception area.
We have a Changing Places toilet which is accessed with a RADAR key.
We ask that there is one adult for every four pupils for Foundation and Early Years groups.
For KS1 and KS2, we ask that you bring one adult for every 6 pupils.
We offer free admission to accompanying adults in school groups, including carers for pupils with SEN.
There is free pick up and drop off for coaches.
Coaches that stay must pay and display as a normal vehicle.
You will get allocated bag and lunchbox storage space on the day.
In good weather, you can use our outdoor picnic area.
In bad weather, you can use our marquee - a covered and heated area with picnic tables.
On the day there will be experienced staff on hand to help.
Our well stocked gift shop offers an excellent range of gifts, including many under £3. Why not include a trip to the gift shop as part of your day?
It's a great way for the children to practice their maths and experience spending money and budgeting.

Shows cost £2.20 per child.
This show is an interactive session exploring the natural word. Students will discover science related to trees, fungi, plants and flowers through exciting, hands-on activities.
This show lasts 40 minutes.
This show looks at the sources of light on our planet. It considers the properties of fire and how chemicals can react with each other. What does a candle need to keep burning? Which creatures create their own light? What is the fire triangle? Come and marvel at our tornado of fire!
This show will excite your children while covering a range of basic science principles.
This show lasts 40 minutes.
This show is split into 2 halves. Part 1 of the session is an interactive show covering curriculum linked topics such as food chains, habitats and animal classifications. In part 2, we head into the forest for a bug hunt.
This show last 60 minutes.
Backpacks are a great way to work with pupils in small groups to discover the environment outside or inside The Look Out.
Using the backpacks involves a short walk, stopping at various points and concentrating on national curriculum themed activities.
Backpacks can be hired in advance and are self-led experiences. Each backpack is suitable for up to 6 pupils and 1 leader. They cost £2.20 per child.
