Photography

No photography permitted in pools, on poolside or Giant Waterslides except under management discretion as an authorised photographer for evening parties, exclusive use or controlled swimming lessons.

No photography is permitted in the changing village, toilets, Coral Spa or from any of the poolside terraces.

Coral Reef has an external photography firm on site who operate on poolside. Charges for the use of this service are set by the firm. These photographers use flashes on their cameras. If you, or any of your party, suffer from health issues as a result of flash photography please let a member of the team know at reception so that we can advise you further.

Armbands are available to loan for free on the poolside.

The use of hair dryers in the changing village is free of charge to users.

Multiple access to pool

Coral Spa users can access the pools and spa as often as they like during their visit. Giant waterslides are also included during peak periods.

Health and safety

General health and safety information

Any surface that is wet will be more slippery than any surface which is dry.

Do not run around the pool or in the changing area. Take special care when using wet steps. A hand rail is provided.

Take extreme care when holding small children in your arms whilst walking around the pool and changing areas

All children under 8 years of age must be supervised in the water by a responsible adult (18+). A maximum of 2 under 8s per adult is permitted.

All child non-swimmers must wear buoyancy aids - these are on loan, free of charge - you will find them on the poolside.

Due to the depth of water there is no diving or jumping into the pool.

Snorkels/masks/flippers or inflatables are not allowed in the pool.

Water feature safety

For those with young children you are advised to be aware of the 3 water jets (the White Volcano, the Serpent Spouts and the cannons on the pirate ship) in the pool which may cause alarm to the very young children if they are hit by them.

The water from the White Volcano is thrown into the centre of the main area within the pool. It is off for 20 minutes then on for 10 minutes. Familiarise yourself with it before venturing into the main area of the pool.

There is a large tipping bucket in the Little Corals area. This releases a large amount of water every few minutes and can shock children if it lands on their heads.

Slide safety

There are small slides in Little Corals Pools for under 5s only. Children should be assisted by an adult on the slide.

All slides at Coral Reef should be ridden feet first.

Swimwear

Appropriate swim wear must be worn at all times. No outdoor clothes are allowed.

Owing to the nature of modern costume fabrics, the management cannot accept responsibility for damage to costumes resulting from use of the giant waterslides. Not all costume fabrics are suitable for use in chlorinated/disinfected water, bleaching may occur. This is beyond our control and the management cannot accept responsibility for any damage.

Medical conditions

Please advise the duty manager of any medical condition which may affect your visit. A medical box is available for the safe deposit of emergency medicines.

Wild water rapids

The 2 rapids operate separately for 3 minutes and then together for 6 minutes in any half hour. They consist of channels with fast flowing water.

They are suitable for strong swimmers only. Young children wearing a buoyancy aid may ride the rapids if they are directly supervised by a responsible adult

Disabled and family changing

Large family changing rooms are available throughout the changing village. A range of disabled access hoists are available at request.
