
This course is designed to introduce learners to the benefits of yoga, therapeutic exercise and somatic stress management techniques, learning to listen to your body, build self-awareness, develop healthy movement patterns and stress management techniques, empowering you to master your wellbeing
Blending yoga, therapeutic exercise and stress management techniques, you will learn to listen to your body, build self-awareness, develop healthy movement patterns and stress management techniques, empowering you to master your wellbeing.
By the end of the course you will:
- feel more relaxed and less stressed
- have improved strength, flexibility and stability
- have reduced back, neck, hip and joint pain
- have improved energy levels
- have greater coordination
- have increased self-awareness
- reflect on the positive impact of regular movement on physical and emotional wellbeing and incorporate techniques into daily life
- feel an overall sense of wellbeing
Entry requirements
You do not need to have any prior experience or knowledge.
Material required for the course
You will need to bring:
- exercise mat
- cushion or pillow
- blanket
- Tennis ball
- comfortable clothing
- Water bottle
Teaching method
Formal instruction, practical demonstration, participation, guidance from the instructor
Assessment
Continuous assessment and feedback during course of sessions.
