
A 4-week course of Chair yoga offers gentle movements with mindful breathing to help you build stability, improve mobility, and rejuvenate your body and mind.
The course runs 13 March to 24 April. There will be no session on 03 April 2026.
Chair yoga offers a gentle accessible approach to yoga using a chair to support poses and movement. Designed for learners of all levels and abilities, this course focused on improving flexibility, strength and balance, and relaxation without needing to get down on the floor.
Emphasis will also be placed on breathing techniques to help reduce stress and improve mental clarity.
This course has been adapted so that all movements are done from being seated in a chair.
By the end of the course you will benefit from:
- improved posture and alignment
- reduced stress
- increased strength, flexibility and balance to support daily activities
- mind-body connection through mindful breathing techniques
- a greater awareness of your body in relation to posture, joint alignment and mindful movement
- gain a deeper understanding of how to incorporate chair yoga into your daily life for enhanced physical and mental wellness
Entry requirements
No prior experience or knowledge is required for this course. This course is suitable for complete beginners and those with limited mobility.
Material required for the course
You should
- wear comfortable clothes
- bring a small cushion or 7 inch Pilates ball. (travel pillows are also suitable)
- bring a water bottle
Teaching method
Observations and feedback will be provided throughout the course.
