Friday 20 September - Heritage Open Day Walk at Lily Hill Park

Heritage Open Day Walk at Lily Hill Park Guided walk to learn about the exotic trees and plants in this historic park.

Saturday 21 September onwards - Blackwater river festival

A celebration of Blackwater river with lots of events.

When: Friday 21 September to Sunday 29 September.

As part of this festival, Bracknell Forest are hosting a managing meadows event on Monday 23 September at Shepherd meadows

Friday 27 September - Outdoor Cinema at Lily Hill Park - Rocketman

Outdoor cinema screening of Rocketman, set in the beautiful surroundings of Lily Hill Park. 

When: Friday 27 September, doors open at 6pm and film starts at 7:30pm

Where to meet: Lily Hill Park

Cost: tickets and costs are available on the Firefly events website

Booking is essential.

October

Tuesday 15 October – volunteer led walk - Caesar’s Camp and the Redoubts

Join us for a volunteer led walk at Caesar’s Camp. This is a rambler walk and will last up to 5 and a half miles or 2 hour 15 minutes.

Monday 21 October - Natural History Society - Bees and other pollinators

The Bracknell Forest Natural History Society invites you to a talk on bees and other pollinators with Reading University researcher Rory O’Connor.

When: Monday 21 October, 7:30pm to 9:30pm.

Where to meet: Recital Room at South Hill Park, Ringmead, Bracknell, RG12 7PA.

Cost: Membership is £12 per year with an entrance fee of £1 for evening meetings – or come along as a visitor and pay £3 for the evening

Monday 28 October - Autumn treasure hunt at South Hill Park

Solve a series of clues to win a nature related prize! Morning or afternoon events available.

When: Monday 28 October, 10am to 11:30am or 1pm to 2:30pm.

Where to meet: Gazebo on rear field at South Hill Park, Ringmead, Bracknell, RG12 7PA.

Cost: £3.99 per child

Book a place for 10am to 11:30am at South Hill Park.

Book a place for 1pm to 2:30pm at South Hill Park.

Early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.

Tuesday 29 October - Autumn treasure hunt at Lily Hill Park

Solve a series of clues to win a nature related prize! Morning or afternoon events available.

Cost: £3.99 per child

Individual walks and talks from rangers

Organised groups can request a ranger to lead a walk or talk about a site or activity managed by our Parks and Countryside Service.

Please note, however, that the availability of rangers is very limited and usually targeted towards local community groups. 

The cost is £27 per hour. For more information please contact us.
