Wednesday 16 August - Bug and Bird Safari at Jennett's Park

Learn about woodland birds on an interactive walk and then hunt for bugs in the meadows.

Best suited for children over the age of 5.

Saturday 19 August - Paws in the Park at South Hill Park

Enjoy a day out for all the family, especially the dogs! 

Promoting responsible dog ownership, this free event features canine activities including demonstrations, product displays, fun competitions, veterinary advice and more.

You can view the timetable on the Paws in the Park website.

This event is provided with support from local businesses and charities.

Dogs on lead are welcome. 

Please consider walking or cycling or using public transport to get to this event as parking is very limited.

Saturday 26 August - International Bat Night at Big Wood

Discover the world of bats on a stroll around the woodland edge at dusk. 

Celebrate international Bat Night with a chance to see Britain's biggest bat, the Noctule.

Tuesday 29 August - Fruit foraging day at Larks Hill

Find out what's good to eat and take home some lovely fruit and may be some sunflowers from the field!

Thursday 31 August - The Great Outdoors at Lily Hill Park

From folklore to fire - learn about the wonder of trees and plants, and have a go at campfire cookery.

Thursday 7 September - Heritage Open Day Walk at South Hill Park

Come to either or both events with the opportunity for further questions and refreshments in the cafe between walks.

Tour of the grounds - Thursday 7 September at 2:30pm to 3:30pm

Tour of the mansion - Thursday 7 September at 4pm to 5pm

Join us for a ranger led walk in South Hill Park grounds and surrounds. This is a leisurely walk - it is up to 2 miles and will last up to 1 hour.

The walk is dog friendly - please keep dogs on a lead.

Monday 18 September - Natural History Society talks - British Moths

Join us for an illustrated talk by Jan Haseler on British Moths. This is part of the Bracknell Forest Natural History Society talks. Visitors are welcome and there is no need to book.

Monday 18 September at 7:30pm to 9:30pm (doors open at 7:15pm)

Cost

Membership is £12 per year with an entrance fee of £1 for evening meetings – or come along as a visitor and pay £3 for the evening.

Tuesday 19 September - Ranger led walk in Chapel Green

Join us for a ranger led walk in Chapel Green and back. This is a ramblers walk - it is up to 7 miles and will last up to 3 hours.

The walk is dog friendly - please keep dogs on a lead.

Saturday 23 September - Wonderful Wild Service Trees at Jocks Lane

Join us for an autumnal woodland stroll and help us collect seed from the Wild Service Tree to preserve this important species for future generations.

Individual walks and talks from rangers

Organised groups can request a ranger to lead a walk or talk about a site or activity managed by our Parks and Countryside Service.

Please note, however, that the availability of rangers is very limited and usually targeted towards local community groups. 

The cost is £24.70 per hour (£20.58 excluding VAT). For more information please contact us.
