Saturday 26 May - the long green walk - ranger led 9 mile walk

Join the rangers on a 9 mile walk from Horseshoe Lake to Englemere Pond over varying terrain including:

  • Ambarrow Court
  • Wildmoor Heath
  • Caesars’ Camp 

A lunch stop could suit those looking for a shorter walk. Please bring your own lunch. This is not a circular route and you will need to arrange your own transport home.

When to meet

Saturday 26 May

Finish: 1:30pm

Start: Horseshoe Lake car park, Mill Lane, Sandhurst, GU47 8JW.

Lunch (around midday): The Look Out Discovery Centre, Nine Mile Ride, RG12 7QW.

Wednesday 30 May - the big tree climb at Ambarrow Court

Fun for 6 year olds and over. Climb up into the tree canopy taking in amazing views - a truly amazing and thrilling activity.

Only 8 tickets available.

Monday 18 June - Natural History Society talks - Unravelling the story of an alien invader

The Bracknell Forest Natural History Society invites you to join their monthly talks.

Friday 29 June - Nightjar Walk at The Look Out

Encounter nocturnal wildlife on this 3 mile walk through heathland and forest. Please wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear (uneven ground conditions) and bring insect repellent, a torch and binoculars.

No dogs please.

Individual walks and talks from rangers

Organised groups can request a ranger to lead a walk or talk about a site or activity managed by our Parks and Countryside Service.

Please note, however, that the availability of rangers is very limited and usually targeted towards local community groups.
