Join us for a volunteer led walk in Nuptown. This is a moderate walk and will last up to 4 miles or under 2 hours.

Saturday 27 July - The Great Big Dog Walk at Jennett's Park

Enjoy a ranger-led walk with your four legged friends. Meet other dog walkers and discover more about the wild projects happening around Jennett’s Park.

Tuesday 30 July - The Great Outdoors at Lily Hill Park

From folklore to fire – learn about the wonder of trees and plants and have a go at campfire cookery. Best suited for 6yrs+.

Friday 2 August - Dinosaur discovery trail at Peacock Meadows

Calling all dino-detectives! Explore the wild world of dinosaurs, solve a pre-historic crime and dig for treasure in woods and meadows.

Saturday 10 August - Ambarrow Court orienteering trail

Work as an individual or team to navigate your way around woodland, using your map reading skills to find the answers and win a prize on completion! Dogs on lead are welcome and the route is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Saturday 17 August - Himalayan balsam pulling

Join us for Himalayan Balsam pulling as part of practical conservation volunteering.

Saturday 17 August - Paws in the Park at South Hill Park

Enjoy a day out for all the family, especially the dogs! Promoting responsible dog ownership, this free event features canine activities including demonstrations, product displays, fun competitions, veterinary advice and more. Provided with support from local businesses and charities.

Dogs on lead welcome. Limited on-site parking, so please consider walking, cycling or using public transport where available.

Tuesday 20 August - volunteer led walk - Little used paths in Warfield

Join us for a volunteer led walk of little used paths in Warfield. This is a moderate walk and will last up to 4 miles or 1 hour 45 minutes.

Thursday 29 August - Bat walk at Lily Hill Park

Join us on this evening guided walk led by local expert John Wenman, to discover the wonderful world of bats at Lily Hill Park.

Individual walks and talks from rangers

Organised groups can request a ranger to lead a walk or talk about a site or activity managed by our Parks and Countryside Service.

Please note, however, that the availability of rangers is very limited and usually targeted towards local community groups. 

The cost is £27 per hour. For more information please contact us.
