Admission arrangements for 2027 to 2028

As the admissions authority for community and voluntary controlled schools in Bracknell Forest, we are consulting on the following change to admission arrangements for 2027 to 2028.

It is proposed that the designated area (also known as catchment area) for Crowthorne CE Primary School be returned to its original before the 2017 expansion. This would remove the area of Bucklers Park development from the school's current designated area.

The consultation is open from 12 November 2025 to 7 January 2026.

After the consultation closes responses will be presented to the Cabinet Member for Education who will decide whether to proceed with the proposed changes. They will also determine the admission arrangements for all community and voluntary controlled schools.

Determined admission arrangements

Admission authorities (the local authority or the school's governing body) must determine their admission arrangements by 28 February each year.

You can make an objection to the Office of the School's Adjudicator if you think that any of the arrangements that have been set are:

unlawful
not in compliance with the School Admissions Code
not in compliance with relevant law relating to admissions

Academies and foundation, free, trust and voluntary aided schools

The governing body is responsible for determining the admissions arrangements for academies and foundation, free, trust and voluntary aided schools.

These schools act as their own admission authority and as such are required to publish their determined admission arrangements. These must be made available on each school's website.
