Many retailers have recovery schemes for electrical items.
You can take small electrical items to the tip to be recycled, or you can visit one of our local recycling days or local recycling points.
Local recycling days for small electrical items
Twice a year a small electrical recycling day is held.

Your small electricals will be stripped down and the electrical appliance components can be used in circuit boards and electric motors. Scrap metal can be extracted and melted down to form new metal-based components. When recycled, 1 iron contains enough steel to produce 13 steel cans.
We will also be collecting clothing. We can accept all clothing, handbags, belts, shoes in pairs, linens, blankets and towels. Do not bring any duvets as we cannot recycle these.
If you attend one of our recycling days you can collect 500 reward points for recycling your small electrical items. Don’t forget to take your e+ card with you and get it scanned.
Local small electrical recycling points
Crowthorne Parish Council, Sandhurst Town Council, Warfield Parish Council and Winkfield Parish Council have made arrangements for local residents to take small electrical items to collection points at their offices any time they are open.
Unfortunately you cannot be credited with any recycling points.

You can also take your small electricals to the collection point at Time Square Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm.
Bulky waste collections
With a paid-for bulky collection up to 3 small electrical items can also be taken at no extra cost.
What small items we accept
As a general rule we can take small electrical items if they can easily fit in a standard supermarket carrier bag. This doesn't include items that have screens such as laptops, notebooks or tablets. Items we do not accept can be taken to the tip at Longshot Lane.

Battery recycling
Batteries in household bins can cause fires which puts our collection crews at risk, delays collection times and puts a strain on the fire service.
By recycling batteries correctly, we can prevent these dangerous incidents from happening. Batteries processed in the right way can be used to make new batteries or other metal products.
Batteries are easily recyclable in Bracknell Forest with recycling boxes in most supermarkets and local shops, as well as the recycling centres at Longshot Lane and Smallmead.
