Bumps and babies

This new group starts on 13 May and is for expectant and new parents with their babies aged 0 to 1 year old. This is a drop-in session where you can meet new parents and have a chat whilst playing with your baby. 

Learn about sleep and weaning too.

Sessions are held:

  • at The Alders, Branksome Hill Road, Sandhurst, GU47 0QE
  • every Monday from 1:30pm to 2:30pm

Sessions will start on the 13 May.

Just turn up, there's no need to book.

The Alders Family Hub can be hard to find. It is in the grounds of College Town Primary School on the right of the school.

You can park at the front of the building. Use the left hand gate (2) and press the buzzer for The Alders to get into the car park.

Breastfeeding advice drop-in

This service is provided by the Health Visitor Team.

This is a drop-in service for advice and support with breastfeeding.

  • The Alders on Fridays, midday to 3pm

You can just turn up, there’s no need to book. If you have any questions about this drop-in, contact the Health Visitor team.

Baby weigh clinics

This service is provided by the Health Visitor team.

These are drop-in sessions where you can come and weigh your baby and to speak to a health visitor:

  • The Alders on Mondays, 9:30am to 11:30am
  • The Willows on Tuesdays, 9:30am to 11:30am
  • The Oaks on Wednesdays, 9:30am to 11:30am
  • The Rowans on Thursdays, 9:30am to 11:30am

Understanding your baby - 6 week course

Understanding your baby is a 6 week course suitable for any family with a baby under 4 months old.

It includes:

  • understanding the feelings of you and your baby
  • brain development and crying
  • healthy sleep patterns
  • feeding
  • play and development
  • childcare options

Courses run throughout the year.

Singing and story time

This session is for parents with their babies and young children 0 to 5 years old. This is a drop-in session where you can meet new parents.

Just turn up, no need to book.

Sessions are held:

  • every Tuesday from 9:30am to 10:15am

Session start from 7 May.

Baby PEEP - 10 week course

Baby PEEP courses are suitable for any family with a baby under the age of 9 months.

Baby PEEP is a course which includes talk times on supporting and enhancing child development. Each week you and your little one can enjoy:

  • play activities and ideas
  • songs and rhymes
  • sharing books together

Courses run throughout the year.

Music and movement

Can you wiggle your fingers? Can your wiggle your toes?

Join us for 7 interactive sessions for grown ups and their steady walkers to enjoy music and movement together.

All you need is comfortable clothes, appropriate footwear and a bottle of water.

Sessions are held:

  • at The Willows, Priestwood Court Road, Bracknell,RG42 1TU
  • every Monday from 10am to 11am 

This course starts on Monday 10 June and is bookable through Eventbrite.

Family play together

Session details

 

Drop-in play sessions for parents and carers and their children. Aimed at families with babies and younger children. Older siblings are welcome in the school holidays.

An opportunity to meet other parents and carers while playing with your children and supporting their development while learning through play.

Activities include indoor and outdoor play, arts and crafts, ending with song time.

Family play together at:

  • The Oaks on Tuesdays, 1:30pm to 2:30pm
  • The Rowans on Wednesdays, 9:30am to 10:30am

Active play

Drop-in play sessions for parents and carers and their children. Aimed at families with babies and younger children. Older siblings are welcome in the school holidays - session timings may change over school holidays. 

Active play sessions focus on indoor physical play. It will include games and activities to develop balance and co-ordination. A baby area is also available with sensory toys.

Active play at:

  • The Rowans on Fridays, 9:30am to 10:30am

Mum and baby movement and exercise

Sport in Mind is a charity that uses sport and physical activity to improve the lives of people experiencing mental health problems.

These sessions are open to mums:

  • experiencing low mood
  • feeling stressed
  • feeling lonely or isolated
  • who have a diagnosed mental health condition

They are lots of fun, for all abilities and delivered by a qualified instructor. All equipment will be provided.

Sessions are held:

  • at The Willows, Priestwood Court Road, Bracknell,RG42 1TU
  • every Friday from 10am to 11am (term time only)

Sessions will start again after the Easter holiday on Friday 19 April.

Just turn up, there's no need to book.

Citizens Advice Bureau appointments

One-to-one appointments are available to speak to a Citizens Advice Bureau adviser. These are held face-to-face at various Family Hubs.

Appointments are available at:

  • 9:30am
  • 10:15am
  • 11am

This service is free but run by appointment only.
