Swift walk and talk for Swift Awareness Week

Learn about swifts during Swift Awareness Week, which runs from 28 June to 6 July 2025. Join Barbara Polonara, who co-leads Wild Bracknell, on a walk and talk about these amazing birds who are masters of the sky. Find out what ‘swooping’ action is being taken to address their declining numbers.

Dogs on leads welcome. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Route

Start at the green verge at Stoney Road. Cross at the pedestrian traffic lights, then follow Binfield Road. Turn left into Dukeshill Road then right into Fraser Road, then right again at the garage complex in Fraser Road. Finish at the cul de sac in Binfield Road.

Accessibility

The walk is accessible for all. It’s entirely on pavement and will be about 3 quarters of a mile, with frequent stops.
