About Breakthrough Supported Employment

Breakthrough is a supported employment service in Bracknell Forest. Our aim is to help people with an autism diagnosis or a learning disability get a job.

We support people to learn new skills, get a job and achieve their full potential. Breakthrough can help you with:

  • getting support in your job
  • travel training
  • finding a job
  • job centre appointments
  • project work

We can also help you if you want to work for yourself. This is called being self-employed.

We will make sure any reasonable adjustments are made to support your work journey. Once you have found a job, we will continue to support you until you are ready to work independently.

Our project groups

We also run 2 weekly project groups called:

  • Patchwork Hope
  • gardening groups

They help people build new skills and use their existing ones creatively. They also help boost confidence and teach workplace etiquette before starting a new job.

Work from the groups is displayed at a local charity shop called Shopmobility. People can make small donations towards their completed projects.

A man in a bright blue t-shirt and dark trousers leans over a blue pallet in an allotment. Behind him is a storage box and several piles of bricks. He is grinning, and it's a sunny day.
A man and a woman stand at a table covered in Christmas crafts, including decorated wool Christmas trees, sparkling lights in decorated bottles and knitted pumpkins.
A smiling man stands beside a coffee machine with two cups of coffee. He wears a lanyard and apron.
