How it works
Forestcare provides emergency assistance 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The Responder Service provides CQC registered professional emergency home care, anytime of the day or night.
Forestcare Responder Service means that there is always a way of dealing with life’s uncertainties. As circumstances unfold, you can be reassured that you will receive the best emergency home care and thorough professionalism from the Forestcare emergency support team.
Each emergency care situation is different, but some common scenarios we regularly give immediate support to include:
- emergency personal care support when another regulated activity provider has cancelled their appointment
- emergency personal care support when unforeseen circumstances occur
- assistance following an uninjured fall (using a Raizer lifting chair to get an individual back to a seated or standing position)
- emergency or essential personal care
- welfare checks for a ‘no answer’ (attending the site to check if individual is okay if Forestcare is unable to make contact after an alarm activation)
- refreshments in an emergency (providing a drink or a snack)
- prescription collection and delivery
- providing practical help in minor emergency situations when carers or relatives are unavailable, for example:
- resetting tripped electrical switches
- reconnecting a lifeline alarm to power source
- assisting someone who is stuck or is needs to be helped into a chair or bed
- locating essential items such as a missing hearing aid
