This year’s competition challenged amateur photographers to capture some of Bracknell Forest's great views. It returned after a 2 year break, and residents were obviously glad to have it back, with organisers receiving 120 entries from 33 photographers.
The top spot was awarded to Valentin Mandic of Nicholson Park, Bracknell, for their fantastic shot of Foggy Nicholson Park (The Parks). Valentin will receive a £100 gift voucher, courtesy of the competition sponsor, Duncan Yeardley Estate Agents.
Theme
The competition theme, chosen by the organisers, reflects the wonderful local scenery on offer for residents and visitors.
Cllr Paul Bidwell, cabinet member for economy and regeneration said:
“I am delighted to have been involved in the judging of the images, alongside Bracknell Camera Club and representatives of the Economic and Skills Development Partnership.
“It is clear from the high quality of the images submitted, we have some talented residents and I wish to extend my congratulations to our winning photographers.”
Nick Thring of Duncan Yeardley Estate Agents said:
“After a short break, we were delighted to be invited again to sponsor the competition, which has become popular with Bracknell Forest residents.
“There was a good variety of images this year from vibrant and bustling hubs such as The Lexicon, to more tranquil surroundings in our parks and countryside. We feel the shots present a great picture postcard view of the borough.”
