Fishing

There are some excellent fishing opportunities available at the borough’s rivers, lakes and ponds.

The council subleases its fishing rights to the local angling clubs mentioned below. Thames Water and Bracknell Town Council also provide for fishing on a number of sites within the borough.

Licences and rules

You must follow national and local rules (byelaws) when freshwater fishing (includes salmon, trout, coarse fish and eels) with a rod and line in England and Wales. These rules are aimed at protecting fish stocks and making fisheries sustainable.

Information about buying a rod licence and information about freshwater rod fishing rules are available on the GOV.UK website.
