This page details major parks and countryside improvements in Bracknell Forest.
We are constantly making smaller improvements across our sites. Find some of our climate change related actions.
South Hill Park woodland
In the first phase of this project, we removed invasive cherry laurel and replanted with native trees.

Buckler's Forest tree work
We are carrying out major woodland management work at Buckler’s Forest, Crowthorne.

Nine Mile Ride woodland
We are removing invasive rhododendron ponticum and cherry laurel and replanting with a mix of native broadleaved species.

Big Wood
This regeneration project removed Corsican pine trees from Big Wood, replacing them with native tree types.

Shepherd Meadows footbridge
We closed a footbridge over the Blackwater River in January 2023 for safety reasons.
We are doing all we can to complete the footbridge replacement.

Crowthorne Road woodland
This long-term project is to remove pine trees from Crowthorne Road, replacing them with native varieties.
