Housing Delivery Test
The current published Housing Delivery Test results relates to the 2023 measurement. This covers the 3 year period 2020/2021 to 2022/2023. For this period, housing delivery in Bracknell Forest was above the nationally set threshold of 85% of the housing requirement over the specified period.
Therefore, in line with national planning policy we are required to include a 5% buffer within its housing supply. See Housing Land Supply calculation below for more information.

Housing Trajectory
This is updated annually and relates to the Bracknell Forest Local Plan period 2020/2021 to 2036/2037.
The current version reflects the 31 March 2024 housing commitments. The first 4 years of the plan period (2020/2021 to 2023/2024) relate to actual completions, whereas the remaining years relate to projected completions.

Housing Land Supply (HLS)
In line with national planning policy, we are required to produce an annual update of deliverable sites to provide a 5 years’ worth of housing against the housing requirements in adopted strategic policies (where these are less than 5 years old).
For Bracknell Forest this relates to a requirement of 614 dpa (as contained in Policy LP4 of the adopted The Bracknell Forest Local Plan. The plan was adopted in March 2024.The current HLS relates to the position as at 1 April 2024, and is being published following revisions made to the National Planning Policy Framework on 12th December 2024.
A HLS of 5.15 years can be demonstrated.
