English

English language cafe

Improve your English conversation over a cup of tea or coffee, by chatting with other people who have English as their second language. You can just turn up and practise your English skills.

This course is suitable for beginners as well as learners who have some English language skills and want to improve their conversation skills and confidence.  

We have 2 sessions. You are encouraged to choose 1 session per week.

Sessions are on:

• Mondays from 10am to midday (term time only)
• Thursdays from 10am to midday (term time only)

Cost: £1.50 per session.

Beginnersʼ cafe

The cafe runs on:

• Thursdays from 12:30pm to 2:30pm (term time only)

This session is for complete beginners with little or no spoken English.

There are opportunities to progress to an English for Speakers of Other Languages class and gain a qualification.

Cost: £1.50 per session.

English functional skills

These courses take place termly:

• Functional skills: English level 1
• Functional skills: English level 2

English as a second language courses

English for Beginners is a course for literate learners who would like to develop their basic listening, reading, writing, and speaking skills. 

Courses are on Tuesdays and Thursdays (term time only). These courses include:

• ESOL for beginners: pre-entry
• ESOL for beginners: entry 1
• ESOL for beginners: entry 2
• ESOL for beginners: entry 3

Maths

Everyday maths club

Improve your maths without the stress of studying for a qualification.

Sessions are on:

• Mondays from midday to 2pm (term time only)

Maths functional skills

Level up your skills and gain a maths qualification.

This course takes place on Wednesdays:

• Functional skills: maths level 1
• Functional skills: maths level 2
• Functional skills: maths entry 3
