Executive to discuss Bracknell Leisure Centre improvements

The council’s decision-making Executive will discuss the options to further improve Bracknell Leisure Centre at its meeting this week.

There are three options available to the Executive, all of which look at improving various parts of the leisure centre which were untouched by the regeneration work in 2018. None of the options include selling off the centre or redeveloping it into housing or for other uses.

The papers are restricted because they contain detailed financial information that cannot be shared more widely. It is usual practice for public bodies to restrict commercially sensitive information.

While transparency is extremely important, there are times when detailed financial information cannot be shared.

We know there is a lot of interest in the plans to improve the centre. If the Executive agree the plans, a full set of public papers with a confidential financial annex will go to council in July. We will also produce a wider set of communications and publicity if the plans are agreed at full council.
