The Lexicon Summer Proms 2023

The Lexicon is delighted to announce that it will be holding its annual Summer Proms on Saturday 2 September 2023.

From 2pm until 8pm, visitors to the town centre will be able to sit on the giant steps in Bond Square and enjoy fabulous entertainment featuring an array of talented performers. This includes a Britain’s Got Talent winner and a host of diverse local acts.

2:30pm - Vocalese choir: the show will open with local favourites, the Vocalese Choir, singing a wide range of your favourite pop songs.

3:05pm - AmeyA: local singer and songwriter, AmeyA will perform a mix of her own songs alongside some well-known music hits.

3.30pm - BARTA Theatre Academy: students from Wokingham and Bracknell aged from 6 to 21 will showcase a mix of dancing, singing and drama talents.

4pm - Britain’s Got Talent winner, Paul Potts: Paul discovered his love of opera aged 16 and has released 8 albums.

4:50pm: Crystal Gospel Choir: visitors will be moved by a soul-stirring performance from the Crystal Gospel Choir, delivering amazing gospel music.

5:30pm - EBOS Musical Theatre: EBOS will be performing renditions from some of the nation’s top musicals that will have visitors dancing the evening away. 

6:05pm - The Trawlermen: performing as a trio with guitar, double bass and violin are The Trawlermen, breathing new life into traditional music.

7pm - The Boulevards: a vintage-style rock and roll band, performing the biggest and best hits from the 1950s and early 60s.

“We thought that a toe-tapping Summer Proms would be the perfect conclusion to our fun filled Yellow Brick Road summer.

“We are delighted to have secured Paul Potts and lots of different local talents to and are confident that the line-up will have everyone singing and dancing along.”
