The Lexicon will be holding its first ever gaming event, GAME ON!, during October half term from Friday 20 October to Sunday 29 October 2023.

This free event will see 13 gaming stations set up in Princess Square, where people can play their favourite games or try something new when booking their two-hour slot.

Designed to be a family event for all ages, there will be a range of consoles from NES to PS5, retro games such as Pac Man to the very latest releases such as FC24.

A new games area for younger children will be in Princess Square, so everyone can enjoy games such as snakes and ladders, hop-scotch and ‘the floor is lava’.

On Saturday 28 October, Cineworld will host a free gaming day, so families can play video games on a cinema screen.

Cllr Paul Bidwell, executive member for economic development and regeneration said:

“This is a great initiative by The Lexicon to welcome young people into the town centre. I can’t wait to see the games on the big screen!”
