As part of Bracknell Forest Council’s road maintenance programme, our contractors intend to start work on the roads below in the next few weeks.
The process being used (micro asphalt GripFibre) is weather dependent. If it rains before or during the work, or temperatures do not suit, we may have to delay. Should this happen, the road signs will be updated to show the new dates.
B3018 Binfield Road, Bracknell
Essential resurfacing work on B3018 Binfield Road between Frampton’s Bridge Roundabout and Western Roundabout is planned to start soon.
Preparatory work will start with carriageway patching during week commencing Monday 27 May and will require road closures for up to 2 days.
The main resurfacing work will be done in 3 phases:
- phase 1 - 1-2 July - from Frampton’s Roundabout to, and including, junction with Moordale Avenue (road closure)
- phase 2 - 2-3 July - from Moordale Avenue to, and including, junction with St Anthony’s Close (road closure)
- phase 3 - 3 July - from St Anthony’s Close to Western Roundabout (road closure)
The signed diversion route for these closures will be B3018 Binfield Road, Temple Way, Wokingham Road, Binfield Road, or this route reversed.
B3034 Forest Road, Binfield
Essential resurfacing work on B3034 Forest Road between Binfield Crossroads (village centre) and B3018 Binfield Road is planned to start soon.
Preparatory work will start with carriageway patching during week commencing Monday 27 May and will require road closures for up to 2 days.
The main resurfacing work will be done in 3 phases:
- phase 1 – 28 June - from Binfield Cross to York Road (road closure)
- phase 2 – 29 June - from York Road to the Stag and Hounds Pub (road closure)
- phase 3 – 30 June - from the Stag and Hounds Pub over Pitts Bridge up to, and including, the junction with B3018 Binfield Road (road closure)
The signed diversion route for phases 1 and 2 will be B3034 Forest Road, Terrace Road North, B3018 Church Lane, B3034 Forest Road, or this route reversed.
The signed diversion route for phase 3 will be B3034 Forest Road, Terrace Road South, Popeswood Road, Temple Way, B3018 Binfield Road, Harvest Ride, Sopwith Road, Ellison Road and B3034 Forest Road, or this route reversed.
Road markings will be reinstated on 1-2 July under mobile work.
A3095 Mill Lane, Bracknell
Essential resurfacing works on A3095 Mill Lane, Bracknell is planned to start on soon.
Preparatory carriageway patching work will start during week commencing Monday 17 June and will require road closures.
The signed diversion route for this closure will be South Hill Road, A322 Bagshot Road, A322 Downshire Way, A3095 Mill Lane, or this route reversed.
The main resurfacing work will be done in 2 phases:
- phase 1 – 24-25 June - southbound, between roundabout junction with Wildridings Road (McDonald roundabout) and roundabout junction with South Hill Road (Hanworth roundabout) (road closure)
- phase 2 – 26-27 June - northbound, between roundabout junction with Crowthorne Road (Hanworth roundabout) and roundabout junction with Ringmead (McDonald roundabout) (road closure)
Road markings will be reinstated on 27 June and will require road closure in both directions.
The signed diversion route for these closures will be South Hill Road, A322 Bagshot Road, A322 Downshire Way, A3095 Mill Lane, or this route reversed.
